Bill 32 Changes:
On July 7th the Alberta government put Bill 32 on the table, which proposed a few changes to Alberta’s Employment legislation. The changes are complex in nature and including the following areas.
- Hours of work and rest periods
- Averaging agreements
- Holiday pay
- Deductions from earnings
- Temporary layoffs
- Group terminations
- Payment of earning upon termination
- Variances to ESC
