Bill 32 Changes:

On July 7th the Alberta government put Bill 32 on the table, which proposed a few changes to Alberta’s Employment legislation. The changes are complex in nature and including the following areas.

  • Hours of work and rest periods
  • Averaging agreements
  • Holiday pay
  • Deductions from earnings
  • Temporary layoffs
  • Group terminations
  • Payment of earning upon termination
  • Variances to ESC
